Lets face it, digital methods of treatment has certainly become recognised to assist more efficient and effective treatments. By taking retinal photographs of your eyes, small changes in the retina (back sensory part of the eye) can be identified and early action can be taken for sight threatening and systemic conditions such as diabetes related disorders, hypertensive related disorders, raised intracranial pressure, early or progressing glaucoma.

Please note: the above does not mean the patient is not screened for health problems. The above can still be detected but it is recommended to have digital retinal photography particularly when monitoring small changes which can be difficult to document in the traditional note form.
